If you get a ticket riding your bike, you're not supposed to get demerits on your Ontario driver's licence – as long as the ticket says you were on your bicycle, says Ontario's Ministry of Transportation.
"Bicycle infractions are not applied to the driving record," says MTO spokesman Bob Nichols in an email. "If the officer states on the ticket that a bicycle was used, the convicting court does not send the information to the Ministry of Transportation."
Not coming to a complete stop at a stop violates section 136.1 of the Highway Traffic Act. While you'd still get the fine, the conviction wouldn't appear on your Ontario driving abstract, which insurers look at when determining your premiums.
But not all traffic cops and prosecutors know that cyclists don't get demerits, says a cycling advocacy group.
"We've heard from members who've had demerits on their licences for cycling offences, even though it's not supposed to happen," says Jared Kolb, executive director with Cycle Toronto. "There needs to be a major education campaign."

when i did take the ministry of transportation to court on these issues, i was amazed that the ministry would hire a lawyer to prevent me from having my licence reinstated. because the ministry of transportation in ontario and their workers told me to my face that they made an error in suspending my drivers licence.
they said that to my face.
as did the police. likewise.
as the ;police told me it really made no sense to them that my licence would be suspended for bicycle fines.
regarding matters i explain in the pages of this website.and, by the way, this lawyer, the ministry hired , to prevent me from getting my licence returned to me, clearly committed perjury in court that day in the year 2010.

as he said to the judge, regarding my case, that i did not file the statement of claim and notice of motion.
yet i had all the documents in court that day. that proved i did.
when i told the judge i had the documents to prove it, the judge strangely ignored that fact.
while he smiled sweetly at the lawyer for the minstry of transportation that day. john petronisiak.
i saw him smile. sweetly. at that lawyer.

regarding my work.
that the government caused me to lose.
so i could not assist my mother. in her illnesses she suffered. in the year 2009 likewise. by which factor my mother died in anguish. in hospital. because i did not have the money to get her care. in a hospital.
regarding various medical procedures.
and those numbers are as follows.
regular hours...
at my work.
17 dollars an hour times 40 hours a week equals 680.
times 52 annually.
equals=35 thousand three hundred and sixty dollars.
over twenty years or times 2o years equals
707 thousand three hundred sixty dollars. over twenty years.
and thats not even considering the over time work i was promised. and over time for holidays.the government of caanada is amazing,

but this is about doing the right thing. obviously.
to not take a stand against evil government officials is corrupt. and jesus does not approve of corruption.
to not take a stand against this, therefore, means, one is being a hypocritical christian.
and matthew 24: 51 clearly says that jesus christ does not approve of hypocrisy.
